Our History

Braeside SAMM was founded in 2002 with the purchase of stock from Bigga, other bloodlines from Closeburn, Quintara, Buddaview and Rockdale have been added and resulted in a big meaty sheep with a high yielding carcass.

Extensive ET and AI programs have been undertaken to provide high class genetics with the aim of growing high performance rams for clients.

In recent years the Stud has had the capable assistance of Michael Elmes who has an extensive background in the sheep industry.

Animals are classed by visual appraisal for conformation and structure with Stockscan measurements, wool testing and pregnancy scanning as part of our stud management.
